COVID: forgotten but not gone. Water-soluble oils and opportunistic collage on 15x10cm canvas.
This tiny painting is made up of a background of water-soluble oils, a piece of paper I used to ensure ink flow in a pen, and inking by the pen itself.
The UK COVID enquiry makes clear just how haphazard UK government’s response to this disease was. They exhibited everything from blase disregard for the oncoming crisis to ineptitude in managing a response. The virus has not gone; it mutates, and each year, vulnerable groups are invited for yet another booster.
Apples
This was a very quick and simple ‘view through a window’ of a row of apple trees, one of which I can see now, has not shed its fruit.

A little light finger-painting here (below) resulting in some more convincing trees but also some unusually large apples.
