


Flat, uninspired, bland. Maybe it was the rain and the sky looking like the bottom of a bucket. Whatever, I took brush to canvas without really thinking about it and the result is above.
It feels better; I’ve tackled the reeds, giving them a bit more substance with a tiny fan brush. It’s a little surreal, which probably owes something to the Martian sky. I’m not sure where the whirlpool bottom left came from but it can stay.
The bright colours are due to a mix of various yellows plus a dab or two of neon acrylic pouring paint.
